What are the major parties doing for you?

Victoria Park is a "safe seat".

• Safe seats are neglected by both sides of politics, as the winning party can take their votes for granted while the opposing party has no hope of winning them.
• Safe seats tend to be awarded to factional allies or favourites within parties. This is the case no matter which major party it is.

Independent = Working for YOU

My background is customer service and helping people. I've been doing that for most of my adult life. I also have strong research and IT skills and many diverse interests, including the study of politics.

I have nominated because I know I can give the people of Victoria Park a better deal than any of the other candidates are capable of providing.

I have not received, nor have I sought, the support of powerful sectional or corporate interests, as I believe they would compromise my independence - the only people I need to be accountable to are the 21,600 electors of Victoria Park.

Politics is an expensive game.

Here's the catch - I have been told it would cost $20,000 to mount a successful campaign. At present, I'm getting by on one-tenth of that, entirely from my own bank account.

I am putting my money where my mouth is, because I believe I can make a difference to Victoria Park where I studied, worked and played, and to my wonderful State of Western Australia.

But even a little makes a difference.
